AWARDS AND HONOURS
As a token of permanent gratitude to the humanists of the world for their contribution to preservation of peace and tolerance among the peoples and nations, for their life achievements based on the principles of humanism, special acknowledgements and awards were introduced. The highest humanistic award is the GOLDEN CHARTER OF PEACE “LINUS PAULING” WITH PLAQUE AND GOLDEN BADGE and the highest honour: acceptance into the ILH membership, Humanist of Year, Humanist of Decade and Honorary Ambassador. GOLDEN CHARTER OF PEACE “LINUS PAULING” is a permanent recognition of humanists of the world for their lifetime creativity, whose contribution to the building of humane civilisation is of invaluable value. GOLDEN CHARTER OF PEACE “LINUS PAULING” contains humanistic principles and tenets, work and creativity of those who devoted their efforts to HUMANISM since its inception as a movement, leaving it behind as a legacy to the new generations. GOLDEN CHARTER OF PEACE “LINUS PAULING” - THE HIGHEST HUMANISTIC RECOGNITION - BELONGS TO THOSE WHO CARRY NOBLE FEELINGS IN THEIR HEARTS, LOVE FOR A MAN, FOR HIS BETTER PRESENT TIMES AND HAPPIER FUTURE. GOLDEN CHARTER OF PEACE "LINUS PAULING" Charter is the highest recognition of the International League of Humanists. The first man who received this Charter was IVAN SUPEK, the only living founder of ILH, the man who has made an immeasurable contribution to the development of humanistic thoughts in the world and the struggle for peace and understanding among the people and nations.
