In the implementation of International League of Humanists’ long-term projects "Where does the path to health?" and "Health - a factor of peace," in Zagreb's Hotel "Antunović", on December 15, 2011, the ceremony of presenting ILH’s award Golden Charter "Linus Pauling" with Plaque and Badge to Professor Dr. Leonardo Patrlj from the Croatia was held. On this occasion, Professor Patrlj was proclaimed “International Doctor Humanist of Decade”. Laureate received th recognition from the hands of Chairman of the ILH Council, Professor Dr. Tarik Kupusovic. Patron of thid very important ILH’s project was Agrokor Concern from Zagreb.

Mr. Stjepan Mesic, Honorary President of International League of Humanists visited Headquarters of ILH in Sarajevo,  November,  2 – 4.On this occasion Mr. Mesić had a meeting with the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Mr. Zeljko Komsic, a Member of the BiH Presidency, Mr. Bakir Izetbegovic, and the Prime Minister of  Government of Sarajevo Canton, Mr. Fikret Music. On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the International League of Humanists (Philadelphia, 1976 - Sarajevo, 2011) and 13 anniversary of the International League of Humanists’ mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on November 3 at  the “Dom Oružanih snaga” in Sarajevo, the Honorary President of the International League of Humanists lectured on the topic: "Bosnia and Herzegovina today and tomorrow - the truth and misconceptions about her past, present and future."In the aforementioned ceremony, Mr. Mesic presented the Golden Charter of the International Humanist to Mr. Avdo Hebib, in appreciation and gratitude for the defense of the truth about the past, present and future of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Plaque and Badge of ILH, laureate received from the hands of Chairman of the ILH , prof. Dr. Tarik Kupusovic.

Organized by the International League of Humanists, Mr Stjepan Mesic on March 15, 2011 visited Sarajevo in his capacity as the Honorary President of the International League of Humanists. On that occasion, he visited the Headquarters of the International League of Humanists and attended the Session of the ILH Council.

In the conference room of the Bussines Center "UNITIC" was held ceremony at which Mr Mesic awarded with Golden Charter "Honorary Ambassador of Culture of Peace and Dialogue" and presented book, "The Age of Economic Diplomacy", which, together with Dr. Jasna Plevnik, written by Stjepan Mesic. The book represents a ten-year experience of Stjepan Mesic as Croatian Head of State and it is a real curiosity of this kind. Promoters of the book were very well acquainted with issues and themes which the book deals with close associates and friends, Stjepan Mesic. These are Mr. Bogić Bogićević, Dr. Enver Halilovic and Dr. Josip Vrbošić. The moderator was Dr. Josip Muselimović.

It should be noted that the President of the International League of Humanists, HE Dr. Elisabeth Rehn, on the proposal of the Council of International League of Humanists,  Mr. Stjepan Mesic appointed Honorary President of the International League of Humanists. This highest honorary position, according to the Decision of the IV Humanist Congress on year 1998, was served by ideological founder of the International League of Humanists, acc. Ivan Supek until his death.

Clinic for Oncology and Glandular Surgery of the Clinical Center of University of Sarajevo and the Clinic for Children's Diseases Zagreb of the Clinical Center "Sisters of Mercy" received the Golden Charter "Linus Pauling" with Plaque, high recognition of the International League of Humanists. At the solemn ceremony, held on May 20, 2011 in Zagreb, Hotel "Antunović,", in the name of these collective awards winners, Prof. Dr. Faris Gavrankapetanović, Director General of the KCUS and Prof. Dr. Goran Roić, Director of the Clinic for Children's Diseases Zagreb received recognitions.ILH recognition was also given to the deserving individuals from these institutions: Prof. Dr. Šefik Bešlić (Golden Charter "Doctor of Decade" with the Golden Badge), Dr. Senad Šečić (Golden Charter "Doctor of Decade" with the Golden Badge) nurse Ernela Eminović (Golden Charter of Love "Nurse of the Year" with a Golden Badge) from the Clinic from Sarajevo, and the Prof. Dr. Vlatka Mejaški Bošnjak (Golden Charter "Doctor of Decade" with the Golden Badge), Dr. Jasminka Stepan Giljević (Golden Charter "Doctor of Decade" with the Golden Badge) and nurse Slavica Šafran (Golden Charter of Love "Nurse of the Year" with a Golden Badge) from the Clinic from Zagreb.
 
VI Congress of Humanists' Unity «To the Children of the World of Wounded Childhood» PDF Print E-mail

International League of Humanists, with the help of its organizational partners held its VI Congress, which is devoted to particularly sensitive group of children and with a symbolic name: "To the Children of the World of Wounded Childhood".The Congress was held in Zagreb (Croatia), in the Hotel «Antunović», October 24 – 26, 2010.The Congress is organized under the auspices of the Croatian Prime Minister, Mrs. Jadranka Kosor.In addition to numerous other distinguished guests, We are honored to emphasize that the Congress of his presence graced the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Danilo Türk, President of the Republic of Croatia, Dr. Ivo Josipovic and  member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Željko Komsić. They gave their full support to the Congress and League's project "Children of the World of Wounded Childhood" and their messages typed in the ILH's "Book of Peace".Congress was chaired by the President of the International League of Humanists, HE Dr. Elisabeth Rehn, and next to her Presidency of the Congress consisted of: HE Mr. Stjepan Mesić, the Honorary President of ILH, Dr. Josip Vrbošić, Vice President of ILH, Prof. Zdravko Šurlan, Secretary General of ILH and Mr. Tomislav Antunović, Chairman of the Committee for Family of ILH.
