Linus Pauling (1901 – 1994) - THE RECIPIENT PF THE NOBEL PRIZE FOR SCIENCE IN 1954, AND NOBEL PRIZE FOR PEACE

1962 Reputed as a strong advocator of human rights, freedoms, equality and tolerance, a close friend and associate of Ivan Supek, Bernard Russel, Philip Noel-Baker, Aurelio Peccei, Sophia Wadia. Linus Pauling in company with Academician Ivan Supek, launched an initiative to establish the International League of Humanists in their intention and wish to see peace implemented throughout the world in the full sense of that word. His eternal dream was that humanists - universtalists of the world take a most serious part in the realization of the following humanistic and ethic principles; freedom, equality, justice, peace, co-existing with nature and environment, tolerance, solidarity, safety, social welfare, with due respect for the principles of humanity, impartiality, independence, neutrality, equality and universality.
