H.E. Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad was promoted to Honorary Ambassador of Peace for Asia

On 31st May 2005, at 17:00 o’clock in the Business Centre “UNITIC” in presence of big number of guests, H.E. Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad was promoted to Honorary Ambassador of Peace for Asia. The host of promotion was Prof. Meliha Alić, President of the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo. The General Director of Business Centre “UNITIC” Mr. Mirsad Kurtović supported the promotion by giving the premises, equipment and staff for organisation of the promotion.
By explaining the Decision to proclaim H.E. Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad to Honorary Ambassador of Peace for Asia the Secretary General of ILH, Prof. Zdravko Šurlan said “H.E. Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad lead by the principle “to be” and “to have” not only by “to have”, using his knowledge, hard work, wisdom of an experienced politician, big patriot he made his country economically and politically independent, he returned to his people dignity by creating conditions for credible life of every person”.

Duties of the Honorary Ambassador for Peace is to spread the ideas for peace, promote peace, tolerance and mutual understanding.
