PROJECTS AND HUMANE MISSIONS IN THE SERVICE OF PEACE

Secretariat of the Standing Committee of International League of Humanists (ILH) and Committee for Promotion of Humanists had organised on December 28th 2005 in Sarajevo and New Year reception on which were present many guests politics, culture and public life in Bosnia and Herzegovina. President of the Secretariat of the Standing Committee Acc. Nikola Kovača and President of the Committee for Promotion of Humanists Mr. Nusret Čaušević had talked about objectives of ILH and mission activities of this organisation in B&H. Improving culture of peace and non-violence as quality of life and development of religious and cultural cooperation, feeling secure and belonged, self-respect and respect of others are just some of the activities of ILH. ILH had completed many activities and projects during this year. One of them was the 5th Congress of the Humanists Unity held in Dubrovnik on October 23 – 26, 2005. The conclusions from that Congress represent a road-sign for everything that needs to be done, such as opening of International University, which will carry name of one of the ILH founders Philip Noel-baker, as well as opening summer and winter School of Sport and Culture of Peace “Juan Antonio Samaranch”
