GOLDEN JUBILEE OF ACADEMICIAN ARIF TANOVIC

In the honour of 80 years of his life and 60 years of his active humanism, Committee for Education and Science of International League of Humanists in Sarajevo had organised promotion of the book “U zbilji vremena – humanistički pogledi”. On that occasion according to the Decision of The Congress from October 25, 2005 Academician Tanovic received Golden Charter of Peace “Linus Pauling” with Plaque and Golden Badge. About Academician Tanovic’s book and life of prominent guests spoke: Academic Nikola Kovac, Prof.Dr Ugo Vlaisavljevic, Prof.Dr Sadudin Musabegovic, Prof.Dr Zijad Pasic i prof. Arif Zulic who was the book’s editor. Acc. Tanovic was born in Gacko, December 4th, 1925 and he is a regular member of the Academy of Science and Art of B&H. He was a professor of Ethics at the Faulty of Philosophy and Rector of the University of Sarajevo. He is carrier of the Partisans Service Certificate 1941 and many other decorations and recognitions.
